Rice freshman Hociel Landa won the men's 10,000-meter title in 31:22.33 at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships at Hayes Track at the Haugh Complex in Bloomington, Ind. Despite capturing the championship, Landa didn't meet the standard of 31:00.00 to compete at the IAAF World U-20 Championships in Tampere, Finland.
